Fake Nichicons being sold at DealExtreme

Was looking around DealExtreme (online store from HK) today and saw these interesting caps, which they advertise are for motherboard use:

    3300uF 16V Motherboard Electrolytic Capacitors (20-Piece)

16V 2200uf Motherboard Capacitors for Computer (20-Piece Pack)

    1500uF 6.3V Motherboard Electrolytic Capacitors (20-Piece)

Two of the three fake Nichicons feature Teapo-style vents. I wonder how well these fakes will hold up on an actual motherboard...
    My gaming PC:

The top ones look like resleeved Teapos (Judging by the vent).
"We have offered them (the Arabs) a sensible way for so many years. But no, they wanted to fight. Fine! We gave them technology, the latest, the kind even Vietnam didn't have. They had double superiority in tanks and aircraft, triple in artillery, and in air defense and anti-tank weapons they had absolute supremacy. And what? Once again they were beaten. Once again they scrammed [sic]. Once again they screamed for us to come save them. Sadat woke me up in the middle of the night twice over the phone, 'Save me!' He demanded to send Soviet troops, and immediately! No! We are not going to fight for them."

      Agree, those are re-sleeved Teapo.

Other than fakes the only other brand I've ever seen with that vent was Tayeh who *I believe* were a totally OEM brand. - Meaning *I think* Tayeh caps were made by Teapo for some other entity named Tayeh.

Genuine Nichicon RS aren't motherboard grade. These counterfeit Nichicon RS 3300uf 16v don't look 18x16 either.

          WOW.

Now you know why I don't shop at dealextreme... Besides, for a lot of stuff geeks.com was a hell of a lot cheaper anyway... ebay is one thing, but this takes the cake.

Funny how the 3300uf 16V fake Nichicon caps appeared on DealExtreme's "Gadgets of the Week" listing at the current time of this post:

I don't shop at DealExtreme for the same reason.

                I have two v2s and one v1.

I am still looking at these boards nearly every day.

I would never install those Teapo in a PSU, Japanese or go home

But they're such a good price? And Teapo is fine for PSU

Probably fake teapo's... I doubt teapo would be that low or somebody that desperate to re-sleeve.

A stupid question: but Nichicon can tollerate that someone sells fake caps with his brand?

Try sending them a mail alerting them about the fact that DealExtreme sells these caps.
They (DX) are afterall a large reseller so maybe they will care...
