    Lg 50pm6700 horizontal bands.

I purchased an lg 50pm6700 for $20 that was new but with a cracked screen.
I did my research and by the panel number I found it is the same as the 50pa6500.
I found one on Craigslist that I traded some stuff for. Seller said the display was perfect up till the time it wouldn't turn on.

I brought it home, took the back off and found the only difference between the two is the A board or video board, not sure exactly what it is called.
I swapped them out, still wouldn't turn on.
I took the power supply out of my new, cracked screen tv, and put it in the other one.

The TV turns on but there are 2 bands at the top of the screen. Can anyone give me any advise?

I also changed a board from the top left, I think it's called the buffer board but no change.
I have extra of every part except for the psu.

Lol which one is that? The one the buffer board is attached to?

If not run the test patterns, by removing Lvds cable (flat cable from mobo to control) and jumper the two pins on it and turn the Tv on.

Ok, is everything in properly and is the board number the same ? Make sure all the screws are in too !

The ebr number on the Ysus are the same, the number below Ysus is different.
I will put all the crews in. I only had 1 in to hold the board in place.
                  Does it make a difference?

Yes lol, not having the screws in can kill the Ysus ! The screw holes are used for local ground can be catastrophic if you dont have them in.

Still no picture. Just sound. Should I put the old Ysus board back in?

Put the old Ysus board in, now it's worse.

Put the original Ysus board in, the one from the first picture with the band across the top, now it looks like the bottom one.

Tried it all again. Ysus from smashed board, no picture just sound.
Original Ysus, the last picture I uploaded.
Changed the buffers, no change with eithe Ysus board.
Do I need another Ysus board?
The smashed screen tv would power on with sound and no picture, I figured due to that cracked screen but I guess it could have also had a bad Ysus board?

This is what it says on shopjimmy about the first buffer board I replaced
DO NOT REPLACE THIS BOARD WITHOUT ALSO REPLACING THE YDRVBT AND YSUS BOARDS! If you replace this board alone, it WILL fail again.

Could that be part of my problem?

No why trash it when its possibly fixable ?

No, I only have an analog meter.
I do have double of all boards except the power supply. I've already tried the control board and that didn't help.
