      it was only after the flickering appeared and before the screen went dead i was having that half dull screen issue

      hope i did not fry things by testing the problems further

        Hi all, i am bringing this up from the past, as I have the same monitor and few days ago i came up with the same flickering problem.
        By checking the mentioned caps on the power board of the monitor, it was obvious that some of them were bulged, so i moved on changing all of them.
        I replaced them with Panasonic FM series.
        And the monitor came back alive and even brighter than before, with no issues.

          thanks!

          i still got it in bits tbh had to move countries and my friend who was gunna fix it got a new job

          but gives me some encouragment to get it sorted as needing more monitors again!!
