6150 is not replaceable with 6100. It only works the other way round.

That's absolutely not true...It Even doesn't make sense...
However it may be GMCH/ICH dependant...
        What's your mobo number?
If you've got AT8 or AT9 it's 100% interchangeable, but you need to modify BIOS handler...

Umm... GMCH/ICH is Intel terminology, and those boards are AMD/nVidia. But yes, a BIOS mod is required.

Doesn't matter...We both know what I'm talking about...It's quicker to type gmc whatever than south north...

I have bought chips from them previously and they have been good, but i only use them as last resort. They're quite pricey.

In Romania, unfortunately not. I get my chips on ebay, i found a few sellers i can trust. But shipping takes ages as you know. I try to keep 1-2 pcs stock of chips that fail most often, like G86-731, G86-631, AMD RS880M. I've got a fairly low volume of repairs so it usually works out.

The 6100 and 6150 are pretty hard to come by.
