my next plan is to actually get a high guage 24 pin atx extension cable, cut the 12v1's off, and solder the wires them to the bottom of the board (and use pooky to insulate them). i've been practicing on some dead boards and I think i've gotten it down. then just plug the new PSU into the extension. problem solved
