BenQ E2220HD 2-3 seconds to black, Power Light on, no picture when using Flashlight.

I have a BenQ e2220HD monitor that turns on for 2-3 seconds but remains black after that. But I have seen some flickers of menu when I continually press the side buttons (brightness, menu, input, ect...). 1 or 2 flickers of menu change sometimes, not all the time. I have electrical experience and did a lot of research. BenQ apparently has a bad reputation for shorted transistors. C5707's that need to be checked, resoldered, or replaced. I am new to tv/monitor repairs but I would like to get this problem fixed. I can't tell which are the transistors. Pictures of ones I've seen of BenQ models do not look like what is on my board. The only ones that look like transistors all have heat sinks on them. I have taken the monitor apart to examine the boards and checked for cold joints or any visible bad components. Put it all back together with it working the same with the same problem. Before I jump into this I was wondering what is the best way to start. Being it BenQ I think the transistor issue. Can anyone point out to me where the transistors are? I have some pictures and a video of my monitor problem. Any other tips or starting points would be a great help thank you for your time.

here is the video to the issue

Hi - Nice explanation. Can you post a picture of the back of the board - Try and get it to fill the frame but do not cut the edges off. As near to 2 mb as you can get without going over that.
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

I hope this is good enough. If not, I can probably do better.

Did you replace the caps, or are they original? The capacitors look far too high quality to be found in a BenQ...

2 seconds to black can be

          a) bad caps
          b) bad ccfls
          c) bad ccfl wiring (especially the return wiring)
          d) bad secondary windings on the inverter transformer

More details starting with post #19 at

What is part number for Q805 and Q806 on the back?

Hi - this is a rare board? hardly any "hits" on google.

I attach a picture - suggest you reflow the red joints - they dont look bad
but just because its a Benq.
One easy test is to check the secondary windings on the inverter transformer. They cant be open as it does flash and as there is only one we have nothing to check against. What is the part number on the transformer?
perhaps we can find some data on it. Also what are the part numbers on the
small 8 legged ic's on the back of the board.

On the front, can you mark up a picture showing the part numbers of the Ics
on the heatsinks - part numbers may help if you cant read it all.

Nope have not replaced anything yet... Would like to spend less then $80 because the higher model of this monitor sells on craigslist here at that price. I just don't know where to start because I have not seen anyone mention these symptoms before.

Ignoring post #5 and #6 will likely not help your case.

Double posting or starting yet another thread without even trying to do some homework as per post #5 and #6 will not get you any more help.

So are you getting 24VDC at the fuse on the inverter board? Can we see closed up picture of the label on the inverter board by the connector? It shows what the pins are for.
