Get the Red Pill and buy a new PSU, the part it did failed because there is a problem in this PCB.
One person with basic awareness in electronics he would measure it with a multimeter....

The pictures are not really clear enough for troubleshooting - need more light
but not flash. You did well with the magnified one - I have resized but see nothing to help with identification.

Does this unit have LED? That clear body looks like LED. Pictures are out off focus to read any thing on the board.

amazon in not an option for Europe.
This PSU from generic PSU makers retails to 50-70 EUR.
Ebay could be an alternative way if there is an active account.
Last choice .. visit a computers store and ask for a used one from their repair man, in a very friendly price.

Amazon UK is just one faceless source of trade with Greek management that does not ship to Greece.
But there is many other smaller e-shops in every European country ready to serve, if you are not lazy enough so to discover them.

Hi - that is great but like I said earlier without really good pictures its difficult.

You must have some nice sun sometimes in Portugal - take pics outside.

Why you are giving to that man fake hope? This part failed because more significant parts failed too.

emoniz move forward, this repair is for people with tremendous skills in electronics who have also the proper soldering tools, and experience in finding spare parts.

This PSU is 90W and your only chance is to find a used.
Also this type of PSU is very dangerous you could be killed.
                                Move on ...

that could even be a type of fuse.
we need good pics of the part and the area it came from to start.
i too would rather fix the original instead of buying an ebay/amazon fake fire hazard pile of junk.

I have a better idea, I need one expert volunteer to accept to receive by mail the damaged PSU and to ship it back to Portugal for free repaired.

Yes I am looking for a hero, my own skills is not enough for such a repair.

Re: HP Laptop charger burned component

If you REALLY want to fix it, you will have to find lots of times to sit down, get the P/N of the ICs, MOSFET's, ETC. and look up the spec sheets. Most manufacturers will have app notes on how the IC should be hooked up for it to function. Then you will need good eyes to trace out those traces on the board and draw up the diagram so you will have some idea how the components are connected together and how it works.
I have traced out many boards from the GOOD PICTURES (you have no ideas on how many times I keep requesting GOOD CLEAR pictures, we do not have the board in front of us to look at) that I print out both sides of the board, scale them so they are the same size, tape the print out together as if it is a real board is in front of me, then spend many hours to draw up the diagram for people here to use for troubleshooting. Some of people that ask for help and then abandon the project after many hours I put into the projects, I have at least 5 of those in the past.
So how serious are you about fixing this power supply down to components level? You should also read up on how Switching power supply work and get some idea the basic building blocks that it needs to function. Basic understanding is always a good base to start up with.
