    Hisense 32K20DW power problem

Hisense 32K20DW came in for repair. It has normal steady power to main , but the led line to the backlight leds is going from 80.6- to 87 volts, with or without the led line connected, ideas?

    Re: Hisense 32K20DW power problem

Can I get focused pictures of the power supply board, i canot read the pin labels of the black connector that is connected to the main board, I cannot also read the board model number on the bar code sticker.
What is the Voltage rating of that blue cap close to the LED connector?

The Blue cap is a 100v 100uf , peak meter reads 98.9uf and 0.12 ohm

Then the 80V output at the LED connector is the correct output Voltage, so more likely you have open connection somewhere in the LED string (the LEDs are connected in series).

          Re: Hisense 32K20DW power problem

I've seen these sets and thier 42 inch counterparts have a positive wire short to ground inside where the wires attach to the string. It's a piss poor design where the strips have a sharp edge that cuts into the positive wire overtime from thermal cooling and heating up moving the wire
Did I leave the soldering iron on?
