Interesting Find Today Inside An Acer LCD.

Well I opened the next Acer 19" LCD in line and was quite startled to see this botched attempt at fixing this. I immediately checked the SMD fuses underneath and sure enough one of the W fuses was open so I wasn't going to waste much time with it

Found an obvious cold solder joint underneath from the attempted cap repair.

You can tell the person who tried to replace the caps only replaced the obviously buldged ones because the other original Capxon caps are still left on the board.

Reminds me of looking back to the first solder jobs I had done

Now I take MUCH more pride in my work

I can't tell, what brand are the replacements?
