    Lite-ON made Dell SX280 PSU

Just fixed/modded one of these. Filled with OST and L-Tec caps. No bulging but a lot of mediocre (in case of OST) and bad readings on some of the Ltec caps.

A weird mix of Nichicon PW, HD, HM and UCC KZE was used to recap it. Mouser's stock was funny this time.

The main switching MOSFET isnt very good and has a drain-source on resistance of almost two ohms. Swapping this for something more modern results in a cooler running supply. You can FEEL the difference! 2SK2654 was swapped for a Fairchild FQA8N100C.

Fan was good, unlike the other version of the supply I'm used to (Hipro IIRC). The Lite-ON uses a 60x15mm fan, the other takes a skinny 60x10mm.

The mobo is weird on this one...all Rubycon MCZ and Panasonic FL except for three Nichicon HNs. Why didn't they go all the way?

Had me going with the thread title....was thinking to myself that I've never seen a bad DA-2 PSU (sx280 external, also used on the gx620usff). Made more sense after seeing the gx280 correction.
