$26.66 shipped (for me, anyway. IDK about Indiana.)

You won't find a better PSU for $19 anywhere else. They are cleareance overstock that was supposed to be used in Sun workstations years ago. 550W, TONS of molex connectors, 24 pin ATX, beefy 12V lines. This thing is a f*****g TANK. Loaded to the brim with components and massive heatsinks, also a quality Nidec fan, EMI filter. IDK exactly how much this bitch weighs but it is HEAVY. When I pick up my somewhat-flimsy case with it mounted inside, the case bends towards the side with the PSU. Also, rock solid voltages. Take a look at my Speedfan readings. 12V is a little on the high side, because I haven't loaded it much (don't have a graphics card in there ATM), but look at 3.3v and 5v. Almost spot on. Those readings never fluctuate more than 0.03v. Ignore the 2.5v line, It reads 1.5v on every computer I've ran Speedfan on.

That AcBel is a top notch PSU. It has two PCB's stacked on top of each other inside, that's how overbuilt this thing is.

i will post what i find.
i have not had a chance to look any further at it as it is mine and low priority.
there are no blown caps but they are the bad batch nichicons.
which means some on vdimm could be open.
        mcz blown in yours?
all the ones i have gotten in for repair had hm/hn.
but imho all ultra low esr wet lytics are too sensitive to heat.

I've seen a LOT of G5's with blown MCZ's and some with UCCs as well. I've seen far more with blown HN's, but I do see my share of them with bad rubycons.... :-/

                  Re: Another Good Score

Many low end seasonics use them with good success. They work well in psu's like teapo as long as they are cooled well.

Does pretty good with all ost's. He is still selling that unit, also.

after the havoc OST has reeked in the past, I sure wouldn't chance it. I still see bad OST's in mainboards today, mainly Asus. Teapos in mainboards and PSU's today are notorious for going open. They show no physical signs of failure, but they're dead all the same. That's what was wrong with the dimension 4700c PSU I recapped yesterday, was loaded with teapos. All but ONE were open.

                        Re: Another Good Score

ok, so buy it and recap it down the road

oh, on my trip to Indianapolis, if found more good scores:

at a goodwill outlet store, where 1 million tons of crap are dumped in bins, which you search though... they sell stuff by the the pound (or if high-ticket or furniture or books, as priced) i found:

an old gateway usb keyboard with built in hub. fully functional and all keys usable in linux

a Microsoft sidewinder usb wheel and pedals- patched usb cable... have yet to test, if needed i will re-patch it or replace cord... my logitech nascar wheel was fine but it is missing 2 out of 3 suction cups. this one used a c-clamp style mount

i also went to a salvation army thrift store and walked out with:

a bag of crap for 4 bux:

                        -a few phone cords

                        -a conner 343.2mb hd

a 486 fan (i will use it fix the one on my vid card)

                        a molex y-cable

                        a led/cable from a case

an at to ps/2 keyboard adapter

                        some header cables (2 serial)

i also found a used, in box, adaptec aha-2920 pci SCSI card. had cable, driver discs, and everything else it would have new. copyrighted 1997. pic:

SCSI is one of those "I need it" things.
My ancient HP ScanJet IIcx requires a SCSI interface.

I like the Adaptec cards because every OS speaks Adaptec.
                          They work. Well.
This card is a no-brainer to recap, if required.
I've never had an Adaptec SCSI card fail.

                            it has sanyo/nichicon caps.

wait- my card is slighly different. mine looks like this:

the controller chips are different. rectangle vs. square.

i have no scsi stuff but i figured i might find scsi stuff cheap somewhere...
