Thanks to confidence gained by reading posts on these forums I dived in and repaired my Hanns screen above. Prior to repair it got progressively slower to show anything on the screen and while waiting the power light would flicker.
So I removed 6 CapXon caps (board component numbers given) which all had swollen tops and replaced with Maplin.co.uk 105degc cap numbers given at end of lines:
C261 C263 & C24 = 470microF 25V dia 10mm H 15 pin pitch 5 with maplin #DT66
C244 & C241 = 1000microF 10v dia 10 H 15 pin pitch 5 with #DT69
C?? = 470microF 10v dia 8 H 13 pitch 3.5 with #N90KF
How chuffed do I feel!
