samsung syncmaster 510n not optimum mode

i have problem with samsung syncmaster 510n. its power is ok but when i connect it to pc it shows (not optimum mode recommended mode 1024*768).what is ment by this .i have been change resolution to 124*768 but found no display on monitor .it only shows the message mentioned above.so i want to know where is the fault

Hi. There can be many reasons.It seems like ''VGA Cable''. Try with another vga cable first.If not, then check resolution frequency, must be 60 hertz.

Hmmm .....

Does your 510n uses the novatek NT68F63 IC ? If yes then try the (47 or 50 Ohm) resistor hack at pin 5-6.
