Ok, here is the rub. I was given this TV by my uncle. He said it made a loud pop, and died. I did some troubleshooting, and discovered a bad IPM on the
y-sus, and a bad 46N15 FET on the lower buffer board. I replaced both, and it fired right up.
When it first fired up, it had a very light snow, twinkling on the screen. To light for me to capture with my camera. After being on for a few minutes it now has a vertical line, and a short horizontal line that follows the no signal around the screen. Also has a very light snow, twinkling on the screen. To light for me to capture with my camera. I checked the screen, and it has no crasks or chips.
Where do I go from here?
Update: While writing the post, and uploading pictures, I powered the TV of, and let it cool down a bit. Turned it back on, and I now have 2 vertical lines.
Update #2: Make that 3 vertical lines. 2 right next to each other on the left side of the screen. WTH is going on here. It just keeps getting better and better.
