    Bios Programming Blank check failed

    Hello!

Started to try a few bios programming, and I tried it in a chip that I had allready dessoldered and all the operations went well , no errors.

Now that I've tried to program one directly in PCB with help of a SOIC8 clip, I get this error :

    Online Mode
    Programmer Model: SP8-A
    Series Number: 14053130
    Device Type: SST SST25VF080B [SOIC8]
    Pin contact check pass

    Blank Checking...
    Blank check failed:
    Device Addr : 01 F692H

Is this a symptom of a bad bios chip?
What would be the errors related to a corrupted chip?

    THanks!

Re: Bios Programming Blank check failed

That says that the chip did not erase
try erase again than check if it blank, Also some times a different device type might help

        Thanks for your feedback.
Gonna dessolder it ,and try it off board.

BTW, how do I know which chips will allow the reprogram on the board?
