Aspire One LA-5141P

I have Aspire one in which 3VALW, 5VALW are missing. Also no voltage at PU4 & PU5.
19v reaches to PQ10 & lost at PJ11. I couldn't find PR56 as there is no marking for caps & resistor.

have u 19v on 5-8 pin on pq10?

pr56 is wide resistor with lot of solder on it like jumper

I found PR56 & it is blown off becoz other pad is grounded.
I checked Caps, PQ11 & PQ13 which seems to be ok.

Found PQ25 & a surrounding cap was shorted, removed it. But there is much shorting, aslo ICH seems to be shorted as it get kinda hot without pressing pwon button.

So, i'm giving up working on this crap.

At last desolder chip, clean the board and check for shorts.


Have many boards waiting for working chip.
