then select your laptop model, they are all there last bios is 1.30 dated 13/11/2012 -

I thought they were only updates. Anyway, never mind as it was a different problem. The separate twin USB board was damaged. On starting the symptoms were that the laptop power LED would light up, the fan would keep spinning but no video display. Once I removed that USB board it booted up fine. The only way I found out was that I had another Acer laptop with a known bad USB board (obvious physical damage) and I changed them over. Then the good laptop wouldn't boot! Then I went back to the original laptop and it booted fine without the USB board.Originally posted by Sparks88 View Post
