Another Sony, Another Lightning Strike... KDL-32L4000

What can I say.. it's Florida...

Have a Sony KDL-32L4000... Works OK.. But no signal thru the HDMI... Both HDMI ports are totally dead..

Component and Composite work fine however..

Visually, the A-Board looks in good shape.. The only minor discrepancy is that two of the caps have their burst lines evident (but not obviously blown) whereas similar caps do not show the lines..

Other than that, everything looks copacetic..

I am inclined to replace those caps, just on GPs, but don't want to waste the time on a red herring..

    Anyone??

Thanx for the reply.. I can replace the board for $20.. That seems to be the path of least resistance.

      Thanx again...

I have 2 caps with the x showing like that too, do you know if those are plug in type, anyone know if I can just pull them out and pop the new ones in?, Thanks.

Those two caps next to the two round inductors (220) are part of the switching power supply so they need to be LOW ESR type, they are SMD, not plug-in.

I think smd means surface mounted, they appear to be tacked in on each side with a little solder, is that correct?, sorry for being so thick, Thanks for reply Budm.
