I have had 2 of these with no power. One was the KBC chip and the other was PQ204 mosfet. Both were getting very hot to touch.

Update: The one with PQ204 getting hot is not fixed. I replaced it but it was not the answer - so the short is somewhere else - I think on the other side of the board as some of the caps eg. PC238 (?) and the inductor PL201 seem to be shorted. Hope you have better luck.
