MSI MS-7592 Stuck on 'initializing usb controllers'

    Hi guys,

Got this one from the bin, G41TM-P33 VER 1.1

it boots but stucks on the initializing usb controllers during post.

nothing is connected beside ps2 keyboard

tried diffrent ram and cpu and cmos reset, no shorted pins,

    no luck.

the lan controller is prerry hot reached 45c after 15 secs.

could it be that it's bad?

i can try to take it out with hot air...

could also be bad cap(s) that filter the usb power.

Yes, that could well be the problem. I've never experienced this myself, but I have read here on BCN other people's threads, who had problem with their motherboards not boot due to faulty LAN chip.

That said, always make sure you have tried the simple stuff first. That is:
      - running the system with only necessary components (CPU, RAM). Everything else disconnected
      - power supply is good and has no bad caps
      - motherboard is properly seated in case and not shorting on anything
      - your test hardware and peripherals are all good

If you have verified all of that, then I guess go ahead and remove the chip if it won't be too much trouble for you. Let us know what results you get.

im not sure what is it...

could it be a bad bios?

Looks like the RTC IC for your motherboard (RTC = Real Time Clock... i.e what controls the FSB, PCI, and CPU clock). At least that's what I get when I read this:
          http://forum.notebookreview.com/thre...-ocing.429717/
and another datasheet I saw online (can't seem to past the proper link here for some reason, though).

Do you see a cristal near the IC (typically, they are in a shiny metallic case)? 14 MHz written on top of it (or 14.xxxx)?

          No.
Bad BIOS won't cause an IC on the board to overheat.
