Default Soyo KT400 Dragon Ultra bios

I recently found a kt400 dragon ultra board and put together a system with it...It works OK but will not recognize the Athlon 3000...I'm looking for a kvx42aa6 bios upgrade...and am not having any results other than DriverGuide and biosxxx ...which I do not trust...Any Ideas?

The last BIOS update available for this board was kvx42aa9. I have uploaded it here: http://hitachibiotech.com/jjones/kvx42aa9.exe

if its an E series 3000+ thats the reason why. It would have a 200/ddr400 fsb and the kt400 chipset can't do that. I know those later via chipsets are deceptively named. The KT333 can do a 266 fsb and the KT600 can do a 400fsb

^ I was bored and replaced the ridiculously outdated and crappy looking website I had there with that placeholder thing / dummy page

It's just a random flash animation and a viewcounter. I can't even remember where I got the flash thing from.
Nowadays I only use that webspace for hosting random files (photos and datasheets mainly), so that junk landing page will probably stay there for a while :P

@MBLeo: disposable VMs (in VMWare, MS Virtual PC 2007, Virtualbox, ..) are quite useful if you don't want to get your main system infected with questionable websites like driverguide.
That's how I got the BIOS .zip actually. Used the spyware ridden driverguide "downloader" in a Windows XP VM to get the .zip, checked it for viruses/malware, copied it out of the VM and deleted the virtual HDD file afterwards.

^let me add to that

If i'm not mistaken. You should be able to make a copy of the original virtual HD file, see if the current one gets infected, if it does, just delete it, rename the copied file the original file name and make a copy of that

repeat

Yeah.. Kinda forgot to mention that..

But even if you accidentally delete the only VHD you have, reinstalling MicroXP 0.82 (which is what I usually use ; 99MB CD ISO and about 200MB installed) takes less than 10mins from start of installation to the desktop.
