    What is this

    It is on a Sanyo power supply, It looks like it is glas. It does not have continuity, no resistance and no capacitance. What is it and how do I test it.

        It is TVS (Transient Voltage Suppression) Gas discharge device, which will conduct when breakdown voltage is reached, you can only check for shorts, you will see the inside will be blackened if it was exposed to real high voltage.
