    Kustom Sienna 16W

    Just had one of these acoustic amps in with the symptom of blowing fuses. There's no info on these on the web so I was hoping it was going to be a fairly generic design.
    Luckily it was, TDA 2050 as the output which I originally thought might be the suspect until I got the back off and saw the main smoothing caps.

    These are marked as 'Fortune' which I've never heard of but being made in China they're not of any quality. Quite an unfortunate name in the circumstances!
    Put some new decent caps in and all was well.

    Good repair job.
    Even electrolytic capacitors in non-switching (linear) power supplies can go bad.
    My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.
