Sceptre X7 powers up then display turns off..

Power light stays solid green all the time. Cant see screen with light so I dont think it is a backlight problem. Any suggestions would always be welcome.

So if you look at the back of the LCD panel, you can see the backlights glowing?

No they turn off. But the power LED stays solid green. No flashing or color change. If you turn the monitor off and back on it will display for about 2 seconds. No click heard.

OK , we should try to check the voltages first.
On the blttom left side of your picture, there is aoldered in fuse, check that first since it is the fuse for the backlights inverter circuits.
Since you are working with the line operated device, you should plug this into Isolation transformer for safety. Caps seems to look OK but do not mean they are not bad.
Post good clear pictures of the bootom side of the power supply board.

By the way, the monitor is plugged into running PC right? if there is no video signal the monitor will go into sleep mode. Just to be sure.

Yes I see the computer desktop fine for 2 seconds. My SLR took a dump yesterday (just got it back from canon service and 200 bucks!) I will check that fuse, heres the bottom of the power board.

            Thanks for the assistance.

Update: Now with some "wiggling" about, the monitor turns on then goes off after 2 seconds but now the green power LED flashes after it goes off.

It could be a backlight problem, there could be a short in backlight inverter which causes the whole PSU to go into OC protection, pulsing the output.
