    Ups es500 back-up plus no power

    I Have UPS ES500 BACK-UP PLUS No Power. no light indicator. i Check First The Wire no Open. i think may be have Problem on PCB or??? Can you Help to Fix This...

    I Check the Fuse also No Open.....
    No Burn and Smell Nusty...
    But I Check the Back Up Battery it is 7V only at VDC Meter Tester?

      1. Did you mean 'musty'?
      2. What voltage is the backup battery suposed to be? Sounds like it is bad.
      3. If possible, some pictures will help with the problem solving.
      4. What do you mean by "the wire"? The transformer?
      5. Are there any small transformers on the pcb?

        He meant "nasty".

        "The wire", you mean fuse? It could be open.

        Battery could be drained, hence, the 7v reading.

          Ah ok.

          Any electronics burning smell is nasty, but, is it a rotten egg smell? Rotten egg smell is likely from the battery.

            From my experience of APC UPS's if the batteries are very low nothing appears to work at all. More often than not just changing the batteries is all you need to do.
            You can often pick APC UPS's up at junk sales for next to nothing as the seller thinks they've blown up.

            Of course if something is broken then you may need the schematics to work out where the problem is.
