    Re: Acrocorinth

This word is actually two and united.

The first is akro = side
Korinthos is the name of a small Greek city.
The word as united it does not have an clear translation.
It can partially explained as description of the surrounding area of this city.

Edit Google Help.. It is a rock 570 meters high located in the valey of city Korinthos.
In the ancient years the first city of Korinthos was build next to it.

If you win any prize because of this info I will ask my share LOL

Yes, I understand it to be a region near or at Corinth, not a city. That's why the unison of the two words. Corinth (Korinthos) is spoken of in the Bible. Have you ever been there in the Acrocorinth?

Oh, and no, I'm not trying to win a prize
