    Ventilation System

What are you guys using for a ventilation system when you are desoldering and soldering?

    Re: Ventilation System

A small 80mm pc fan at medium speed (about 9v) blowing air sideways on the desk and an open window.

      My lungs...
Or I open the window and/or use a desk fan.

        Re: Ventilation System

Usually just an open window a few feet from my workbench. It's the best I can do in my basement at the moment. Luckily I don't do extensive soldering, so that one window is sufficient. If I ended up soldering things more frequently, I'd set up a window fan with aluminum dryer ducting to extract the smoke and fumes. It's cheap, but it'll do the trick!

I don't have any ventilation system yet, I just blow away the smoke if it floats towards my face.

I don't mind spending up to $300 for a fume extractor ventilation system. Can someone recommend one?
