    1f5a e6400 solved!

HELLO! I've got solution for 1F5A bios to override master password.
You have to downgrade bios to A14 using this method:
use E6400A14.exe BIOS and with CMD line in windows create .HDR file "E4300A06.exe /writehdrfile"
now the file E6400A14.hdr copy to pendrive.
Take battery and power cord out, plug in usb.
Hold END while you plug in power cord and release END when battery LED light start.
If battery LED light blinks red/blue it should be flashing - wait till laptop restart.
Now you have A14 BIOS and 1F5A change to 2A7B and online generator works for me.
Type password, hold RIGHT CTRL, then ENTER.

Try different USB ports and PENDRIVES.

        Did you google the file?
I found it on dell ftp site in 10 sec.

Sorry but if you dont kniw how to do that I doubt you'll manage to unlock your notebook.
Just cook it! It's already broken.

You should try disconnecting the hdd before doing this.

Here you go Dell still has the bios page running.

                  Re: 1f5a e6400 solved!

I am trying to remove a -1F5A password from a Dell Latitude E4310 by downgrading the A11 BIOS to A09. I can download the BIOS .exe (E4310A09.EXE) file from Dell and copy it to the root directory of the laptop loaded with Windows 7. From the CMD prompt I can navigate to the root directory. However on executing the command E4310A09.EXE /writehdrfile I get a message "Invalid Command Line". My DOS is a bit rusty so I must be missing something. I have also tried this by booting from a USB and executing the above command directly in DOS, but nothing happens. I still don't extract the .HDR file. Has anyone got any ideas?

I have M4500 with A09 bios so do I still need to change the bios? I do have the 1F5A and none of the generated passwords work.
