    Powermate UPS bad electrolytics?

I have a Powermate 9120 UPS. After replacing the batteries, it came up
    with "DC bus fault"
My first guess was that the batteries were not connected properly,
or maybe a relay had burnt out.
Then I found in a Finnish forum that this fault was cured by replacing
two capacitors. The poster further claimed that this was a frequent
    failure in these models.
Has anybody fixed this brand of UPS and found bad caps are the culprit?

    Welcome, jeepster!

    Do you mean Powerware?
Some pictures of the boards would be helpful.
My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.

It looks like bad caps could be the problem, but there might also be something else wrong with it.
