This Viewsonic VA2026W needed one capacitor replaced

Got it from Freecycle with power and brightness issues when turned on. My Google-fu didn't turn up a specific solution, so I'll post one here to document what I've done.

I replaced one bulging Samxon capacitor at 1000uF. If it wasn't specified for 10V, then it was specified for 16V.

I hope this fix will last, but I'm ready to replace more capacitors, too.

Caps nearby heatsinks have a hard life. Anyway, harder than those in cool well-ventilated spaces.
If you want to keep the device for a long time, it may worth recapping some other caps like the biggest one.

With the exception of the large 450V cap, replace ALL the other small caps with low-esr caps such as Panasonic FR, FM or FC series caps.
