Hi Everyone!
This is my first time posting but hopefully I can give you as much information as you might need to help diagnose the issue.
My Viewsonic VA2026w monitor started acting up a few months ago. It would slowly cause a stutter on the right side of the monitor. It made a line about 2 inches wide from top to bottom that would flicker. From the video and pictures below, you can get a better idea of what I am talking about. Here is what I noticed so far:
If the monitor is turned off after being powered down for more than 5 minutes, it looks fine until the monitor heats up from normal use. Nothing felt hot or out of the ordinary but the problem does go away temporarily if I turn it off for a few minutes. I opened the monitor last night and all of the caps looked fine and nothing was oozing out. I pulled all of the ribbon cables and cleaned them before putting them back. I would have taken more pictures but I thought by cleaning the ribbon cable I would be good to go so I put it back together. This is also before I found badcaps.net today. I can get more pictures if needed.
