HP Compaq 6715b possible gpu problem

when plug in adapter it turn on charging light. when pressed power button it turn on lights, then charging light flashes 6 times orange and one green and turn of laptop. with battery it is the same. adapter is ok, voltages on mainboard are ok.

I read on hp forum it is probably graphic/chipset problem, what do you think???
it is AMD 216tqa6ava12fq chip

correction it is 6 orange flashes, one green, and one more orange

I reflowed gpu, but nothing changed

I haven't seen this particular laptop with this problem but given the chipset its certainly possible that its a GPU issue. I'm getting more and more of this chipset exhibiting the same behavior. Reflow it - you know it won't get any "worse".

The problem with norhbridge chip, the usual problem for this laptop
Reball it, or even better replaced with new

I reflowed both north and south bridge but no changes. I will try to reball it

Its a AMD 216tqa6ava12fg northbridge.im pretty much sure thats the guilty one ,only i wanted to know if our friend managed to make his compaq work.

hye are this method is must do or not? usuaally after reball or replace chip we dont need modified or reprogram the bios file

It's not a must.almost all of the working hp ,reballed by me functioned well.
