Problem: Monitor would power up for 5 seconds and then shut off.
Hi all, I have a similar problem that other acer monitors have however the fix was a first for me for an LCD monitor. First of all, viewing other posts made me realize that this Inverter board is different than others shown on post of other Acer models.
All caps checked out OK on this inverter board. L202 had a lean to it and underneath it there was a burn on the board. After touching it , I noticed that only one lead on this inductor was soldered. Come to find out that L202 just sat there for a while just arching to it's solder joint and burning this board at a high temperature until too much carbon buildup on the component was just enough resistance to kill this circuit.
It is highly unlikely that anyone will have the same exact problem with their monitor but I hope these pictures help someone.
