    GeForce 8600 GT bad caps

I've got a 8600 GT graphics card from XFX with 7 blown caps. I believe they explain the pop sound I've heard a few time near the PC that I just couldn't figure out where it came from. Given that the board is from a reputable manufacturer I think it is heat that have killed the caps (the cabinet is WTF in air circulation), but I'm not sure. I'll post an image of it later as I don't have my camera here and I don't like the crappy images I get off my phone.

Probably, XFX loved using FZ on the 8000 series

Yes indeed it looks like FZ caps. I'm not familiar with the markings on the caps, but they are marked with it. I guess name does not really mean anything these days. I'll have to buy a soldering iron to actually replace them, so it may take awhile.

Yeah, Sacon FZ series, awful capacitors from an awful manufacturer.

You have three different capacitors on the board that are most likely bad:

          470uF 16v x3 pcs
          1500uF 6.3v x3 pcs
          1000uF 6.3v x1 pcs

There's also an 1200uF 4v capacitor, that's made by a good manufacturer and it's actually polymer so it's unlikely to be bad.

The 2 330uF 16v capacitors are made by OS-CON, which is OK I guess, I don't think those capacitors are bad.

Anyway, suitable replacements would be Panasonic FR, FM, Nichicon HM, HN, Nippon Chemi Con KY, KZE, KZH, Rubycon ZLK and other from ZL*...:

I'm giving you some links from Farnell Norway site, but if the shipping fees are too much there's also rs-online.com or others.

          470uF 16v:

If you have to order a minimum of 5 pieces of 1500uF, then you could probably use one instead of the 1000uF capacitor.

Also, if you can't find 1000uF 6.3v or 1500uF 6.3v at some other store from these brands and series, you can try searching for the same capacity but with a 10v rating, it will work just as well but the capacitors will be slightly bigger in dimensions so just make sure they would fit on the board.

Or you could do it on purpose to save money.

For example, that Panasonic FM 1000uF 6.3v is kr 3.98 while the following Panasonic FR 1000uF 10v is kr 2.02 - the specs are about the same, the FR is however a bit taller and thinner (which doesn't seem to be an issue with your card):
