common notebook ic we need to have at home

hi, when i try to repair a notebook, most of the time when i spot a bad ic or mosfet or transistor, i have to order it from china with long ship time , or high cost for express delivery.

last order i did i bought resistor and capacitors both 0402 and 0603 package, so now if i need one of those im ready to change them.

i wonder if there is some list or most important ic to have at home for some fast laptop repait.

for example im buyng some ene keyboar controller, some winbond controller, but what about power ic? (3 volt and 5 volt regulator mostly used), most mosfet (that u call fets) used in common notebook?


any help would be very great

I was just thinking the same last night !
FDS6679AZ is a common mosfet to fail on the Dell D531
I have a ordered an assortment of different types of USB and also laptop power jacks from Aliexpress.

TPS51123 and 51125 are also very common.

tnx guys, what about the 3.3 and 5 volt regulator ? maxim and iss ones?
