either the hard drive is dying or the psu is not supplying clean power to the hard drive. could also be a bad psu cable making intermittent contact with the power connector. try another power connector or psu. better start backing up your data just in case! -

Back it up immediately.Don't buy those $10 PSU "specials". They fail, and they have taken whole computers with them.
My computer doubles as a space heater.

Examine the SMART report with a tool such as CrystalDiskInfo. Look for reallocated, pending, or uncorrectable sectors.Comment
