check to see if stby is stable, then check if the voltage on the main cap is stable. after that, check if your ps/on voltage is changing states when you activate power, and remains stable.
WHY CAN'T PHILIPS USE PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWS?

Thanks attainteddragon;i changed all suspected Caps including the 150uf 450v for a 180uf 450 and now tv is harder to turn on tv need alot more pushes in the power button, and only turns on when it wants ,no 5v,3.3v,24v none of the output volts are there, also there is no standby red led on as it should be when pressing power button, checked the 180Uf 450v and i get 167v,can you please mark on the board what points i should test, and can i test volts with power supply out of the tv just connected to the mains cord ? thanks

There are pin names of those white connectors, you need to put down pin names and follow by the DCV reading of each pin so we can see what you have right now.
              Is this the exact board?

Thanks budm; exactly those white connectors have no voltages at all, only have the necessary output voltages when tv fires up,when i plug the cord i should have a red power supply led and i don't have it,maybe the standby regulator is bad or the stand by transformer or the start up resistor or cap,i don't have a scheme so is hard for a low skill person like me to check that out without some guidance from you experts at this forum, that had help me out through all these years, and i had fixed all my tvs with all of your expertise, without it i wouldn't have learned what i know.

we still need the voltages on the connector that goes to the main.
pin description, v in stby, v after power button is pressed.

if you have absolutely no stby voltage at all. disconnect the main board and then check to see if your stby voltage then comes up.

I don't have no voltages on the output to main or any other board, even when i unplug all the connectors,as i said now after i changed all suspected caps it's harder to turn tv on it takes many pushes on the power button in order to fire up tv,then it does it has all voltages on the output to the boards ,i don't have the remote control to check if it turns on with the remote, strange though is that when i plug in the power cord i should have a red led and i don't,as i said i have 167v at big Cap and at the bridge rectifier.
Can i connect the power to the board out of the TV and check voltages without load?i guess some voltages can't be checked without main board connection! any input would be appreciated, thanks for your patience

I would think the big cap on your power board should churn out closer to 400v when all turned on - are you measuring legs of cap (hard to do with this mounting when assembled).

theres not much in regards to pin markings on this psu there is two that say 5V and ON i wonder if you jump these two with a 1 k resistor will the other supplies come up then hopefully budm etc can advise before you try it.

this may be nothing but this cap is discoloured and have you checked this fuse.

also saw a few bad joints on the back.

pics aren't great, so i struggled to work out much of the stby circuit, and couldn't find a schematic anywhere.

that is heaps better, pity i'm not that good at tracing these things out.

what is the part number of n502?

The pins are marked on the bottom side of the board. So do you have at least the 5VDC? IOf no 5VSTBY then check those big resistors by the SMPS IC N502, and also two startup/running caps C521, and C??? next to C521.

                                      Ok i checked R514=74 it's ok 75Homs
Checked R520= 1.7 ohms it's ohms not OK should be 75 ohms,
also checked R513=0.5 ohms not ok should be 15 ohms,

R513 (in PFC section) is 0.15 Ohms resistor, it shows 0.5 Ohms on your meter because of your probes resistance.
Try heating C521 and the cap next to it with hair dryer first and then apply the power to see if you will get the 5VDC back.
