The backlight on my LG LED TV is acting strange. Sometimes when I turn on the TV, the backlight doesn't come on with the rest of it. I can hear audio and the LCD is displaying a picture but no backlight. Well, give the back of the TV a firm smack or two (near the bottom) and it will turn on! It makes for a fun time with guests when it happens but its getting to the point where I'd like to fix it.
I've popped open the back of it and turned it on, tried wiggling some connections, and no change. In this case, the backlight turned on and I wanted to see if a loose wire was the cause of the short. I inspected the solders on the power supply but didn't see anything that stood out. I've attached some pics to this post, I'm hoping for some insight into what could be causing the problem.
