Standby light only won't turn on from either tv or remote. No visual signs of leaking caps.
Before tv went dead I did have a fine line running from top to bottom, about 4 or 5" from right side of tv. One Black line at first then months later it became two and three, other lines were different colors. The lines would stay on for about 10 minutes and faded away. Was thinking a dirty ribbon cable until this happened. Tv can't be more than 5 years old at best.
They just don't make stuff like they used to. Second flat screen that went down. Thanks to all the people on this site that make it possible to ease the pain.
