    Dell E5530 bios chip issue

    Hello.

I have a few Dell E5530 laptops and the bios is locked with a admin password.
So I decided to re-program the bios chip, U52 and U53.

At first, it looks like it worked, but every time I entered bios and saved my settings followed by a restart, it did'nt want boot properly. it's stuck at black screen, but LED is ON and CPU is running.

By further investigations I discovered, I had to CLEAR CMOS after every reset before it would boot normally again, all settings lost ofc.

I have 1 possible solution I want to try, boot into windows and reflash bios with a new one but that's going to complicated if I have to clear CMOS every time....

Does anyone have knowledge what is causing this issue ?

        solved it.

I was using my TV with HDMI as and Dell E5530 does not use HDMI output in older bios's.
Pluggin in the native LCD, i got image on screen.
