    SmartVision 17" 2 second black

    Hi, i have this monitor with 2 second to black. It use 12V DC power supply.

    I check CCFL lamp with tester and they are ok. Here is the picture with voltages.

    When monitor turn off lamp i can see picture with my flashligt. I check visualy caps and they look ok to me. I try tu change 2-3 of them but no differance.

    I also check the secundary wining of transformers and they are not shorted.

    ok, now i noticed that i did not test one lamp at time. Now i discovered that one of the lamp is dead.

    i replaced the connector (purple with blue) and monitor working (with one lamp down) but working.

    maybe there is IC monitoring only one connector for lamp feedback and when i connect working lamp in that conector IC did not pull it down.

      Yes that sometimes happens on these smaller monitors. Maybe you can get a replacement bulb from a cheap faulty even cracked 17 inch monitor. Although it is difficult changing a bulb.
