Just wanted to give a hardy thank you. Due to this site and the info I was able to repair our 19" monitor last night. It was a first for me. The info about the caps and the how to install was fun and not as difficult as I had thought.

yes knowledge is the key. I've worked on cars for many years, and having installed new parts, I would have liked to know what was wrong with the part. a small step...
