Samsung SyncMaster 2333 problem with colors

    Hello,

I have a Samsung SyncMaster with some really weird problems. The screen goes black if a certain shade of blue is on the screen. If the blue part isn't big, instead of going black, half the screen mirrors the other half. For example if I have something blue in the middle of the screen, the top half works fine, until it reaches the blue, than it mirrors the first half or turns black.

When I say it turns black, I mean that at the beginning it's white, then gradually goes from light grey to black. Exactly like in this video if you start watching from second 20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ulXm4Wix5k

Here are some pictures I took when I opened the cover.
The forum says something about a bad security token so I made an ImageShack slideshow .

This is how we prefer the picture composition. The token message is because your pic is greater than 2000x2000.

See my sig file below and follow the instructions exactly.

If you are new to this forum, we can help a lot more if you please post clear focused pictures (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) of your boards using the manage attachments button so they are hosted here. Information and picture clarity compositions should look like this post.

We respectfully ask that you make some time and effort to read some of the guides available for basic troubleshooting. After you have read through them, then ask clarification questions or report your findings.

Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.

I'm re-sizing them now. I have already tried another monitor and with that one it works fine.

            1) Circled in red are two voltage regulators.

            2) If you have a manual ranging multimeter, set it to 20V DC.

            3) Put your black probe on a ground screw on the main board.

            4) Put your red probe on each pin of the voltage regulator (ignore the fat/top tab).

            5) Report the

            a) part number for each regulator
            b) the DC voltage for each pin
            c) number the pins left to right (tab being "north")

            like so

            Part number AS1117-33
            pin 1 = 0.0V
            pin 2 = 3.3
            pin 3 = 4.99

I have a bad suspicion here, but I won't post it yet as it might be something simple like the voltage regulators mentioned by retiredcaps..
