    Paper on VRM filtering caps

This paper helps give an understanding that different filter caps are required at different stages between the motherboard VRM and the CPU. In addition it demonstrates how ceramics can cause voltage spikes(ringing) and that this can be improved by using the new tantalum polmer caps.

I remember member called Trodas who tried ceramics at the output of the VRM and did in fact get voltage spikes (ringing). Care and understanding is required when experimenting.
