About to recap Viewsonic VX2835 - Cap brand question

    Hi folks,
I just ordered new capacitors to recap my viewsonic vx2835 (which has the same power board as the Hanns G HG28) and i was able to mainly order Panasonic FC brand caps for all but a few of the capacitors. However there were some caps i just couldn't find readily available here (czech republic) or in fact europe in a board recommended brand. I would have to order from the US or buy in great bulk.
One example was the 22uF 35v and the 10uF 10v caps off of the power board.
So i went for caps made by Yageo, Vishay (low esr) and Jianghai to fill the gaps.
I haven't read much about these and wanted to know your opiniions as to whether they are any good? I also have access to Hitano caps pretty readily as well but know nothing about their reliability.
Would you guys suggest i just reorder the odd caps from the US and put the repair on hold for the sake of the longevity of the monitor?

    Thanks again

Some yageo and some vishay caps are not too bad how many are you talking about.
A picture of the board and the position of the odd caps would help.
Please also state the make and series of the caps you are replacing and the make and series of the proposed replacement. We can then see by checking datasheets (if available)if they are suitable - you could even do it yourself?

If you are talking about 22uF, and 10uF, those caps will be absolutely fine.
Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: About to recap Viewsonic VX2835 - Cap brand question

        Hi Guys,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to this but here is some more info and pics.
There is only 4 caps that i will likely replace where i cannot obtain Panasonic replacements. I have pointed out their positions on the board and they specifically are:
Ltec: 3 X 22uF 35v TK series to be replaced by:
        https://www.conrad.cz/miniaturni-kon...2uf35v.k446245
        or
        https://www.conrad.cz/elektrolyticky...-rm2-5.k445643
Then the 1uF 100v is a Taicon (M) 0739 to be replaced by:
        https://www.conrad.cz/elektrolyticky...rm2-5g.k445563
        or
        https://www.conrad.cz/radialni-konde...-100-v.k445943
From my reading it looks like i would be replacing fairly low level no name brands with something the same or possibly a little better but i have no real world experience to go on with these caps whereas i feel you guys do and especially with this power board as it is also featured in the Hanns G which has many comments.
So what do you guys think? Go with what i ordered or go the long haul and order from the US for more reliable caps to replace the above.

        Thanks again

Re: About to recap Viewsonic VX2835 - Cap brand question

Few of us have experience of any of these caps but if you search the forums people have replaced Jianghai with Yageo but someone also says Yageo = Teapo (which are not great.
SO based on Tom saying as they were small caps any would be fine and the fact that I have at least heard of Yageo with no really bad reports AND they are 105 degree (Temp) caps and one of the Jianghai is an 85 degree cap then I would go for the Yageo as best of a poor bunch.
Not a shining endorsement but best I can suggest.

            Cheers for the reply selldoor.
Just picked up the caps yesterday from the post office so will start the process in a couple of days.
Have you ever heard or used Hitano caps before? If so any reports on their longevity/performance.

            Thanks

If you type in Hitano into the search on the bar at the top it will give you the threads
mentioning them - jury is out - middle of the road.

I see an Ltec unit in the photo - it should also be replaced anyway.
