Hey guys!
I have an old Neovo F-419 connected by VGA-VGA, that has the display buttons stuck ( not really stuck, the circuit "behind" them is damaged I guess, since none of them do what they should ( the only thing they all do is "auto-adjust" from time to time).
When this first happened the left button was stuck and by mistake it got my screens brightness all the way down. To cut things short, the problem is that now, I have the screen stuck on the lowest brightness and no way to turn it up!
My computer:
-i5 3570k
-intel HD4000
-8gigs
etc...
I recently found out about the DDC/CI technology, that basically allows the use of software like Screenbright (http://screenwhite.com/screenbright/), to control the screens "real" brightness. I googled it and it appears that my monitor supports it http://negoma.com/shop/en/prod/29411...=S0%2C%2Ctrue#, but when I open screenbright it says that no supported monitor was found!!
Is it because of my graphics card ? Does the graphics card also have to support ddc/ci? I currently use the onboard intel HD4000.
What can I do to solve this? I know the monitor is old but its frustrating to have it working fine and just not being able to use it in an enjoyable way, because the displays buttons dont work...
Thanks for reading.

Weird that it says that DDC/CI isnt supported right? Is it because of the graphics card ( or the lack of one to be more exact) ?
