    Red epoxy for BGA

    Hi team,
I want to order red epoxy that is used from manufactures to secure BGA chips.
The one that I want is the red that usually HP uses or even the trasparent one that apple uses.
I mention the above as they can easily be removed by heating them.
I have managed to buy a red one, same that some old fulitsu siemens notebooks used but this can be removed only by scraping.

personally i wont put that red thing on good bga, since it can go down the bga itself and make throuble if a new reball is needed

i agree, if holding it down wih tin balls isnt enough then you dont need glue, you need shock protection.

i think the only reason epoxy is used is to make it harder for repair techs
at HP they will simply destroy/ remove the old chip and replace it since it costs them a few bucks

i doubt that, more likely they will skip the pcb.
it's worth less to them than the time of aqualified tech to fix it.
