My Toshiba Satellite A215-S5837 has a cracked B154EW02 V.5 screen

But would a V.1 version be a drop-in replacement?

This is the lowest price I found for a working unit:

Although it looks to have top and bottom metal tabs that are
not included in the V.5 version......perhaps I can just cut them off?
