    lenovo yoga 11s oxided!

    hi to all

    I have a Lenovo yoga 11s (motherboard 11S90004935 SR191) oxides completely dead.

I've cleaned all with alcohol and used some flux...now the notebook power on, but the video works bad (go on and off with some interference). so I've double checked the motherboard founding 2 tiny black components broken. I've desoldered them making than 2 bridges. it booted up normally, but I've seen some smoke from one of the pad bridged

i post a photo of the pads without bridge

    could you help me?!

I can`t see where did you made the bridge.
and what components where they? if those where diodes, caps, resitor you made a bubu.
    just unsolder the bridge.
show us where you made the bridge
Just cook it! It's already broken.

hi dj ricoh! it's hard to explain in english (i'm italian) but i try: do you see a big "gold ring" (for a screw) on the right?! ok, on its left there are 4 pads. they are under a small components with 7 legs (in the photo you can see only 2 legs). for now there aren't bridges because i was scared because the smoke!

on those pads i think there were a resistors..identical to the other black tiny components on the motherboard

you never bridge a pad where is a resistor.
they put the resistor for a purpose.
do you have some spare boards? try taking a few and test with resistor.
do you have any voltage on those pads?

testing with resistor?! what do you mean!? soldering generic resistors from other boards?!

i've have a lot of board, but not the same of that board!

i'll try to check the voltage

maybe it was a diode just for protection.

you got 20v on one side maybe other its ground?
check it. maybe it was a cap to discharge
