I am wondering if it would be possible to replace laptop's backlit CCFLs with ones that are brighter. My goal is to make the screen outdoor viewable.
I think regular notebooks screens are around 200-300 nits which are hardly outdoor viewable. My goal would be to get a screen 500 nits or higher.
I was searching for CCFL replacement bulbs but all the websites I was looking at do not specify what kind of brightness I am going to get out of the replacements bulbs. I am assuming its going to be around the original ones.
My notebook is Dell Inspiron 9400 17" 1900x1200.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
